Blue Archive has launched its latest global-server event, The Calm After the Storm, bringing a new Shanhaijing summer story, two playable swimsuit students, and several additional activities to the game.

The event began following maintenance on October 13, 2026, and runs until October 27 at 01:59 UTC. Players can recruit the new 3-star students Kisaki (Swimsuit) and Shun (Swimsuit) during the same period.

Nexon's update also introduces new furniture, character interactions, a Premium Dash Recruitment option, and upcoming boss encounters.

Maintenance concluded earlier than initially scheduled, at 05:20 UTC on October 13\. As compensation, players can claim 480 Pyroxenes through their in-game mailbox until October 20 at 14:59 UTC.

## The Calm After the Storm Brings a Shanhaijing Summer Story

The latest event follows students from Shanhaijing Senior Secondary School as they take a vacation to a valley village.

What begins as a getaway becomes an opportunity for the students to deal with troublesome younger children and reflect on what it means to behave like responsible adults.

The event adds a new story centered on the Shanhaijing cast, with its accompanying activities available throughout the October 13–27 event period.

Nexon has also added special tasks tied to The Calm After the Storm through its My Office feature.

## Kisaki and Shun Receive New Swimsuit Versions

Both characters are available through separate pickup recruitment banners from October 13 after maintenance until October 27 at 01:59 UTC.

Kisaki (Swimsuit) joins as a Sonic-type support student, while Shun (Swimsuit) is introduced as a damage dealer.

The new versions give players additional options for building their rosters, although their value will depend on individual team compositions and the content players intend to tackle.

Nexon's recruitment notice confirms that players can exchange Recruitment Points for a pickup student during the recruitment period.

Once the banners end, unused Recruitment Points will be converted into Keystone Pieces at a 1:1 ratio and delivered through the mailbox.

Players planning to recruit either character should therefore pay attention to the October 27 deadline rather than assuming their points will carry over to future banners.

## How The Calm After the Storm Event Works

Players must first clear Mission 2-3 (Normal) to unlock the event.

Once inside, they can participate in story episodes, quests, challenges, event tasks, and a Card Shop.

Story stages award resources including Pyroxenes and event currency, while quests provide materials such as Credit Points and Artifacts. Sweeps are available for quests but not for every event activity.

The Card Shop uses 200 Souvenir Photo Cards per draw, with options to draw all four displayed cards or shuffle the available selection.

Event Challenges open October 13 at 19:00 UTC. Clearing all three regular Challenge stages unlocks an Extra stage that awards a Secret Tech Sheet upon completion. However, players do not need to clear the Extra stage to earn the event completion stamp.

The event also features Specialized Students who increase repeat rewards for specific currencies. Once a bonus has been applied to a stage, it remains active for that stage, including when using Sweeps.

While the event's playable stages close October 27, its Shop, Card Shop, and reward exchanges remain available until November 3 at 01:59 UTC.

## Premium Dash Recruitment and More October Content

The update also introduces a Premium Dash Recruitment option featuring Wakamo, Hoshino (Swimsuit), and Mika as selectable pickup targets.

Unlike the two new swimsuit banners, Premium Dash Recruitment has an account-dependent eligibility period. Existing accounts receive a window tied to their first login after the October 13 maintenance, while new accounts receive a window tied to account creation.

Players can choose a pickup target and recruit using Pyroxenes or Recruitment Tickets. The system also includes its own points exchange and a one-time first-acquisition bonus.

Outside recruitment, the October update adds the Tiphareth Final Restriction Release encounter beginning October 14 and Gregorius Total Assault beginning October 20.

New furniture includes the Scenic Mini Pool and Classic Bridge and Pond, with the latter featuring interactions for the new swimsuit students. Karin (Bunny), Iroha, and Ayane also receive new Unique Items.

## What Players Should Prioritize

For players returning to Blue Archive, the most immediate step is claiming the 480 Pyroxenes from maintenance compensation before October 20.

After that, completing Mission 2-3 unlocks The Calm After the Storm for anyone who has not yet reached the event's entry requirement.

Players interested in Kisaki (Swimsuit) or Shun (Swimsuit) should keep October 27 in mind, particularly if they intend to exchange Recruitment Points before the banners close.

The event shop provides a little more flexibility, remaining available for another week after the story event ends.

With two new students, a summer-themed story, and several upcoming combat activities, the October 13 update gives players plenty to work through before the next round of content arrives.
