The *Scissor Seven* mobile RPG *伍六七：暗影交锋* has opened recruitment for a limited Android test running October 15–22 in China. Applications close on October 12, with invitations starting October 13.

A new roguelike mode has players collect randomized upgrades between battles and combine them into different builds. Meanwhile, Chicken Island is getting farming, with crops to plant, grow and harvest for resources.

I’m curious about that side of it. Giving players something to do around the island between fights sounds like a good way to spend more time with the setting.

The update also introduces optional auto-battle for repetitive stages and daily challenges. The developer says the story now reaches material from the anime’s second season, with three new original animated story sequences and the original animation voice cast returning.

Players must preregister and follow the game on TapTap, then submit the linked questionnaire. Applying doesn’t guarantee a place.

Purchases will be enabled, and progress will be wiped afterward. The notice says spending will be credited to the same account as “小金鱼” in-game currency when the game launches. The conversion rate and detailed rules are still to come, so don’t read this as a promise of cash refunds.

The listed application deadline is October 12 at 18:00\. The test runs from October 15 at 11:00 to October 22 at 16:00; the notice doesn’t explicitly specify a timezone.
