[Graceful Decay has revealed *Uncanyon*](https://blog.playstation.com/2026/09/03/uncover-the-secrets-of-uncanyon-a-new-ps5-adventure-game-coming-2027/?ref=morganyte.com), a puzzle-first adventure that allows players to blend alternate realities and explore the strange worlds created when they overlap.

The game is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5 in 2027\. Annapurna Interactive, which previously worked with Graceful Decay on *Maquette*, will publish it.

Players control Sonia, a stranger who enters a forgotten world formed where several parallel realities have converged. She arrives looking for excitement but gradually learns that the survival of Uncanyon may depend on her.

Sonia’s adventure will take her through temples, ruins and mechanical vaults filled with traps. Game director Hanford Lemoore said these areas are being designed around observation and problem-solving, with puzzles serving as the main attraction instead of brief obstacles between combat encounters.

The central mechanic involves devices powered by a mysterious material called fragmentstone. Activating one transforms the surrounding area by drawing another reality into the current world.

Walls and obstacles can move as the realities merge. Hazards may disappear, while paths that were previously inaccessible can open. Players can stop the transformation midway and explore a space containing pieces of multiple realities at once.

That freedom also creates complications. Opening a doorway in one version of a room may introduce a dangerous obstacle from another. Progress requires learning how each area changes and deciding exactly how much of each reality should be present.

Graceful Decay plans to expand Sonia’s available tools as the game progresses. The developer has not revealed the complete set, but it describes the equipment as a small, versatile collection of solutions rather than a pile of gadgets used once and forgotten.

Sonia’s story will also address the pressure she feels after being assigned the familiar role of saving the world. The studio drew from family expectations and the constant obligations created by social media when developing that part of her character.

*Maquette* built its puzzles around recursive spaces where changes to a smaller model affected the full-sized world. *Uncanyon* carries forward the studio’s interest in impossible environments, but shifting realities gives it a much broader toy box. The trailer already shows rooms transforming around Sonia without loading screens or abrupt transitions.

A specific release date and other platforms have not been announced.
