Hotta Studio has released new character and combat trailers for Linko ahead of her Sept. 9 debut in Neverness to Everness.

Linko is a limited S-Class Anima character affiliated with ETD-6, the combat division of the Bureau of Anomaly Control. She fights alongside Xiaozhen, her television-headed anomaly companion.

The new combat showcase gives players a closer look at the pair in action. Linko and Xiaozhen coordinate their attacks, with the latter appearing directly on the battlefield instead of functioning solely as a decorative companion.

Linko’s character trailer, titled Cosmic Frequency Bands, provides additional background on her connection to anomalies. Linko describes the universe as a radio station where every living being has a unique frequency, including humans and anomalies.

That theme extends to her unusual partnership with Xiaozhen. The little “evil spirit” normally rides on Linko’s back and resembles a television with limbs, adding another strange design to a game already packed with living objects and urban anomalies.

Linko will appear on the “Surfing All Channels!” Limited Board when Version 1.3 Phase 2 begins Sept. 9. Her featured S-Class Arc is Voice of the Voyager, a Plasma Arc introduced alongside the character.

Hotori will also return through the “Misty Tipsy Style” Limited Board during the same phase. Players interested in either character will therefore need to decide between a new Anima unit and one of the game’s returning S-Class characters.

The current Zankou and Nanally banners end Sept. 9 at 5:59 a.m. UTC+8. Players should claim any available rewards from their corresponding perk pages before those boards close.

Version 1.3 Phase 2 also introduces the limited-time Runaway Echoes event. It begins Sept. 9 and remains available through Sept. 30, when the current version is scheduled to conclude.

Several additional events will follow later in the month. Pixel Surge begins Sept. 14, Breezy Tour opens Sept. 17 and Fons Rush starts Sept. 21. Existing activities including Volley Star, Surf Breaker, Hunter’s Crucible and Shipwreck Salvage will continue through the end of the version.

Linko was initially announced during the Version 1.3 Preview Special Program in August. The release of her dedicated trailers gives players a considerably better look at her personality and combat days before her banner arrives.

Her complete live-build performance, ideal teams and dependence on Voice of the Voyager will become clearer once Version 1.3 Phase 2 begins. For now, the footage establishes Xiaozhen as an active part of Linko’s identity both inside and outside combat.

Neverness to Everness is available as a free-to-play game on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android.
