Arknights: Endfield is getting a major content update this week, and PC players will have another way to experience the game.

GRYPHLINE has confirmed that the Sanctuary of Ink update launches October 15, 2026, alongside the game's official Steam release. The update introduces a new main story chapter, two playable Operators, additional combat challenges, and a countryside inn that players can develop.

Existing players will also be able to carry their progress over to Steam through cross-platform account synchronization.

The update takes players into a world contained within a landscape painting, where the mysterious Si uses a magical brush to reshape the environment. Beyond the new story content, GRYPHLINE is introducing several quality-of-life improvements and free rewards for players preparing for the update.

Sanctuary of Ink Introduces a New Story Chapter

The next chapter of Arknights: Endfield takes Endministrators into Si's Painting, a mysterious world created within a traditional landscape painting.

Following an injury, the Endministrator is welcomed to Yuanyuan Manor Inn by Si, a Feranmut Proxy who offers them a place to recover.

However, unusual events in the surrounding mountains lead the pair into a new mystery connected to the Endministrator's past.

The story explores a connection stretching back approximately ten years, introducing new environments and encounters along the way.

One of the update's defining features is Si's Miracle Brush. Players can use it to alter parts of the painted environment, including creating bridges across otherwise impassable gaps.

The painting is also inhabited by creatures formed from everyday objects, some friendly and others hostile.

An Auto-Farmer can help with planting and harvesting crops, and farming functionality will eventually extend into Wuling as players progress through the story.
