Etheria: Restart SS6.3 Update Adds Syen, Auroral Nell, and New October Events

Etheria: Restart has rolled out its SS6.3 update on October 14, 2026, introducing SSR Animus Syen and SR Animus Auroral Nell alongside new events, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes.

Developer XD outlined the changes in its official patch notes, which also detail a series of limited-time activities scheduled throughout the remainder of October.

Syen headlines the update as a Reason-attribute Striker capable of gaining additional turns, while Auroral Nell joins as a Hollow-attribute Supporter focused on strengthening her allies.

Players can also look forward to the return of Ruin Hegemony, a Kethos and Luvia rerun banner, and the Halloween-themed Spooktheria event beginning October 22.

Syen Joins Etheria: Restart as a New SSR Striker

The main addition in SS6.3 is Syen, a new SSR Animus belonging to the Reason attribute.

Syen is designed as a Striker who can enter an Empowered state through multiple methods. This allows him to gain additional turns and maintain offensive pressure against enemies.

According to the official patch notes, Syen specializes in dealing heavy single-target damage while also possessing ways to improve his own survivability.

His ability to sustain damage output over longer encounters makes him a potential primary damage dealer for teams built around extended battles.

Syen's availability period runs from October 14 at 03:00 through November 4 at 02:59 (UTC−5).

The update also introduces a limited-time Prowess Up event tied to Syen. Players who activate his Anima Prowess can receive rewards including Exclusive Lattice: Syen, Red Shadowprint, and Module Essence.

The event follows the same availability window as Syen.

Auroral Nell Offers New Support Options

Joining Syen is Auroral Nell, a new SR Animus belonging to the Hollow attribute.

Unlike Syen's damage-focused role, Auroral Nell is a Supporter designed to improve the performance of the entire team.

Her exclusive effect increases damage dealt by all allies, while additional buffs applied to teammates further enhance the party's offensive capabilities and survivability.

This makes her particularly relevant to players interested in building teams around multiple buffs rather than relying entirely on a single damage dealer.

Although both characters arrive with SS6.3, they serve different purposes. Syen emphasizes additional turns and sustained single-target damage, while Auroral Nell contributes teamwide support.

Net effect: the update introduces options for both offensive team compositions and support-oriented strategies, though their actual performance will depend on skill interactions and player testing.

Etheria: Restart October 2026 Event Schedule

SS6.3 also establishes several upcoming activities, giving players multiple events to prepare for over the next few weeks.

The schedule gives players several opportunities to earn rewards or revisit previously featured Animuses before November.

Spooktheria Brings Halloween Rewards on October 22

The Halloween-themed Spooktheria event begins October 22 and runs through November 5, according to the official server-time schedule.

The event includes three activities.

Spooktheria Sign-in rewards players for logging in across seven days, with rewards including Crux Selection Boxes and Prism Dice.

Spooktheria Present introduces dungeon challenges where players can earn Spooktheria Points. These points are used for reward draws featuring event-exclusive avatars, avatar frames, Crux Selection Boxes, Perfect Lattice Fragments, and other upgrade materials.

Finally, Spooktheria Sale introduces limited-time packs in the in-game shop.

For players who want the event-exclusive cosmetic rewards, the dungeon challenges will be particularly important.

Kethos and Luvia Return in Ashen Dirge Banner

Players who missed Kethos or Luvia will have another opportunity to obtain them when the Ashen Dirge rerun banner returns on October 21.

The rerun is scheduled to remain available until November 4 at 02:59 (UTC−5).

It overlaps with Syen's availability period, giving players multiple summoning options during the latter half of October.

Players planning their resources may want to consider which characters best complement their existing teams before committing to either banner.

SS6.3 Introduces Gameplay Improvements and Bug Fixes

Beyond the new characters and events, SS6.3 includes adjustments to several existing systems.

The Shell Story Black Market Stall receives additional items, while the Wish Orb grand prize pool replaces Module Essence with Crystal Blueprint Fragments.

Prism Dice can also occasionally appear in Shell Paradise.

The Cubic Game receives adjustments to the Sleeping Feast area and the rewards granted by Etheria Coin and Training Data loot.

Other improvements include updated item tooltips in the Hyper Research Lab, animation refinements for Kynessa and Sharon, and improvements to Kynessa's automatic battle behavior.

The patch also fixes an inconsistency between Kynessa's skill description and its associated buff values, alongside an issue involving buffs applied after an Animus reached 12 or more Dready stacks.

General stability improvements and additional bug fixes are included.

SS6.3 Maintenance Compensation

The October 14 update included scheduled maintenance beginning at 03:00 (UTC−5), with an estimated duration of two hours.

XD announced the following compensation for players, distributed through in-game mail after maintenance:
