ReGLOSS: CROSS Launches on Steam With 70 Puzzles, Warps, and a Very Late VTuber Group

Getting five VTubers to show up on time apparently requires an entire puzzle game.

ReGLOSS: CROSS, a new 2D puzzle game developed by Japanese indie creator yado, launched on Steam on October 15, 2026, through the holo Indie publishing label. The game features 70 puzzles across eight stages, with Japanese and English language support.

The premise is simple: all five members of hololive's ReGLOSS group are running late for an offline collaboration. Players must guide them through increasingly complicated routes and reunite matching pairs.

Unfortunately for everyone involved, these characters apparently have no intention of stopping until they hit something.

Simple Movement Rules, Complicated Routes

The central mechanic in ReGLOSS: CROSS revolves around directional movement.

Players choose which direction a character should travel, but once that character starts moving, they continue in a straight line until reaching a dead end. The objective is to bring two characters of the same color together.

That limitation is where the puzzle design comes in.

Instead of freely moving characters around a map, players must consider where each movement will end and how the environment affects the route. Sending someone in the correct general direction isn't necessarily enough.

The game introduces additional mechanics as players progress, including:

  • Warp panels: Transport characters to another location when stepped on.
  • Switch-operated signs: Become passable after players activate the appropriate switch.
  • Increasingly complex routes: Require players to account for movement restrictions and environmental devices when planning each pair's reunion.

The complete game contains five regular stages and three extra stages, totaling 70 puzzles. According to the publisher's launch announcement, later challenges are designed to offer more resistance even to experienced puzzle players.

The basic rules remain approachable, but combining directional movement with teleportation and switch-operated obstacles gives the game room to introduce more complicated solutions.

Five ReGLOSS Members, One Scheduling Disaster

The game features all five original ReGLOSS members: Otonose Kanade, Ichijou Ririka, Juufuutei Raden, Todoroki Hajime, and Hiodoshi Ao.

Each appears as a small, stylized character, with arranged background music accompanying the puzzles.

ReGLOSS: CROSS is part of holo Indie, a publishing initiative for approved fan-created games based on hololive production properties. The label is operated by CCMC Corporation, with games distributed under COVER Corporation's applicable guidelines.

Developer yado explained in the launch announcement that watching ReGLOSS streams and live performances helped provide motivation during development. The creator also highlighted the inclusion of tutorials and an official strategy website to make the game easier to approach.

It's a fan project built around familiar characters, but its underlying design is a standalone routing-puzzle concept. Players don't need to understand the group's history to grasp the objective: get everyone where they're supposed to be.

Preferably before the collaboration ends.

ReGLOSS: CROSS Is Available Now on Steam

ReGLOSS: CROSS launched on October 15 in Japan for Windows PC via Steam, priced at ¥490 including tax.

The game supports Japanese and English interfaces and subtitles. Japanese voice audio is listed on Steam, but English voice audio is not.

No console versions have been announced.

Players can find the game on Steam, while additional information is available through CCMC's official launch announcement.

For puzzle fans, the appeal is straightforward: 70 challenges built around restricted movement, environmental switches, and increasingly elaborate routes.

For ReGLOSS fans, there's the added satisfaction of finally getting the whole group together on time.
