Indie developer Dillo Interactive has confirmed that Creepy Horrors: Blood Cult 2 will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2027.
The announcement arrived during the October Convergence showcase on October 8, alongside a new trailer and the launch of a public Steam playtest.
The upcoming RPG combines creature collecting, dungeon crawling, and turn-based battles with a healthy obsession for occult rituals. Players take charge of an underworld cult, summon an army of strange creatures called Horrors, and compete against rival cult leaders for supremacy.
The full game will feature more than 100 collectible Horrors, including folkloric monsters like the Wendigo, the grotesque Soul Sucker, and a creature inexplicably named Jimothy.
Apparently, even the underworld has a Jimothy.
Four cults, 100 monsters, and plenty of sacrifices
Combat revolves around 3v3 turn-based encounters, with players assembling a squad of six Horrors. Each creature uses a resource called Blood Lust to perform attacks, activate defensive abilities, apply buffs and debuffs, and build toward powerful ultimate attacks.
Players can join one of four Sects, each specializing in a different combat style:
- Secta Daemonum: Focuses on offensive power and heavy damage.
- Secta Mortuorum: Specializes in defense and damage resistance.
- Secta Spirituum: Uses buffs and debuffs to control encounters.
- Secta Cryptidarum: Emphasizes evasion and unpredictable attacks.
Each Sect also has access to exclusive Horrors and Relics that can alter abilities and influence team composition.
Outside combat, players explore crypts to uncover summoning recipes, collect ingredients, and discover Relics that improve their creatures. Unwanted Horrors and cultists can also be sacrificed for materials used to summon or upgrade other monsters.
It's a rather gruesome approach to managing your collection, but at least those spare creatures won't sit around gathering dust.
Steam playtest available now

Dillo Interactive's first public playtest is now available through Steam, offering access to more than 20 Horrors and multiple crypts to explore.
The studio is using the test to gather player feedback ahead of the full release. Players can request access through the game's Steam store page.
Creepy Horrors: Blood Cult 2 expands the universe established in My Little Blood Cult, Dillo Interactive's earlier mobile game. According to the developer, the original surpassed 250,000 downloads worldwide.
The sequel takes the series in a more RPG-focused direction, placing creature collecting, party building, and tactical combat at the center of the experience.
Creepy Horrors: Blood Cult 2 is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC, SteamOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A specific release date has not been announced.
