Key Takeaways

War of Genesis: Idle Loot left Steam Early Access on October 7, bringing new skins, a paid currency called G-Coins, equipment artifacts and additional raid rewards.

The free-to-play RPG from South Korean developer NEWNORMALSOFT first entered Early Access on September 10.

Its Steam listing describes a game designed to occupy a small, transparent section of your desktop. Your character fights and collects equipment automatically while you do other things. The player-facing decisions center on gearing up, combining loot and improving the build.

There’s something amusing about a fantasy hero fighting for their life beside a spreadsheet. The format makes the pitch clear enough: keep the loot chase going without giving it the whole screen.

What Changes With the Full Release?

The October 7 update notes introduce skins for the Knight, Ranger and Wizard, with the system unlocking at user level 20. Fancy Skin Boxes award skins according to set probabilities, while duplicate skins can be used in synthesis.

G-Coins are the new currency for paid products. The update also adds profile frames and fixes several mistranslated skill descriptions.

Beyond the automatic battles, the game includes Alliance Raids, World Boss encounters and Arena PvP. Players can also trade acquired loot through the Steam Community Market.

The developer’s existing roadmap, published September 21, targets a 100-player raid for the first quarter of 2027. A new class, character and level-cap expansion are planned for the following quarter, with schedules subject to change.

For now, the full release is available on Steam for Windows, with in-game purchases.
